Templates

Documents designed with Informs can be considered templates. Unlike Word, however, they do not need to be saved as template files (.dot files). They can simply be saved as normal Word documents (.doc). Informs automatically creates a copy of the document prior to it being assembled.

When designing documents you can start with either an existing document or a blank document. Simply open and save documents being designed with Word's Open and Save commands.

Sharing designed documents with colleagues is simple. The Word document itself contains all the logic and calculations. There are no external command or calculation files to distribute.
