Works with Word

Informs Legal installs directly into Word's standard toolbar and provides a host of tools that tailor Word to the needs of the legal practice.

A library of automated and interactive letter and fax templates gets you started - never again type an address twice.

An easy to use environment for creating and organising precedents - its so simple you'll never need to overtype an old document again.

Optional direct access to a Informs' own library of automated and interactive court forms - no need to leave Word and no need to waste time installing updates.

Open, print and save your documents using Informs own dialog boxes.  Designed for law firms, these dialogs allow you to predefine your saving and printing requirements turning them into one click functions - not only faster, they provide consistency across your firm.

If you can use Word, you can use Informs - no other software to learn, no additional training expenses.

Complete Precedent Framework
Informs Legal provides a complete framework for easily creating and using templates and precedents.

A library of sub documents such as letterhead, address block and sign-off form the building blocks of your documents.  These building blocks come together to form your General Templates.  These General Templates form the foundation for your precedents.

Should an amendment be required to say your letterhead details only one document needs to be edited.  Simply changing the underlying building block updates your entire library of templates and precedents.

No knowledge of Word document templates ('.dot files') or how and where to store them is required.

General Templates
Informs Legal provides a library of general purpose templates for creating letters and faxes - such as 'Letter to Client', 'Fax to Other Party Solicitor'.

Writing a letter to any party is as simple as clicking Letter on the Informs toolbar and selecting the required party.  Informs will ask the necessary questions to address and detail the letter leaving you free to just focus on what it is you wish to write.

Creating a Simple Precedent
To create a simple precedent you simply build on from the relevant General Template and save it as a precedent using Informs Legal  'Save as Precedent' function.

Using a Precedent
You simply select the required precedent, select your matter and answer the questions.

Advanced Precedent Creation
Turn your simple precedents into more advanced and automated documents by adding variable prompts and logic to your documents. Informs Legal incorporates Informs' document assembly technology. Review these features by taking the Informs Pro Tour and reviewing the online Designing Documents manual.

Automated Printing
Use Informs Legal's print dialog box to avoid selecting print trays each time you print.  Originals, drafts, file copies, envelopes and labels can all be quickly printed with just a few mouse clicks.
